Church-Wide Ministries

Here are some of the current ministries of our church. For a complete list, check out our church bulletin on Sunday mornings.

  • Men's Ministry

Our Men's Ministry meets every Sunday night at 6:45pm @ Carolina Fine Foods on S.E. Main Street, Simpsonville. Here, we walk through books of Bible chapter-by-chapter while enjoying a great time of fellowship and food. In addition to this, we have scheduled work days where we get together for a huge breakfast, followed by various projects around the church.

  • Women's Ministry

Our Women's ministry has completed in-depth Bible studies by Beth Moore, Priscilla Shirer, and others.  We meet for at least 3 bible studies per year, simulcasts, and other fellowship events.  Fall bible studies will run in September and October and we will be hosting two different options on two nights.  See events tab FMI or Email: unitybaptistwomen@gmail.com for more information.

  • Awana: Approved Workers are not ashamed

AWANA is a global, non-profit ministry committed to the belief that the greatest impact Christ starts is with children who know, love, and serve Him. We meet each Wednesday during the regular school year in our fellowship hall for dinner at 6pm - free of charge. Classes begin at 6:30pm for kids from elementary school through 6th grade.

  • J.O.Y. Fellowship (just older youth)

J.O.Y. Fellowship is a terrific group of all ages who gather on the last Tuesday of each month at noon in the Fellowship Hall for food, fun, and a guest speaker. If you find yourself looking for the company of a great group of people, this is the group for you! If you would like to speak to our J.O.Y. fellowship at one of our regular pot-lucks please call the main office and leave your name and phone number. (864) 862-5138

  • Food on the First

On the first Sunday of each month, Unity collects items for the local "Backpack Blessings" ministry located in Fountain Inn, SC. This ministry helps children in need throughout the upstate by providing food for them for the weekends and holidays, when schools are closed. Alice Prevatt is the founder of this ministry, and her efforts supply food for more than 280 children in 14 different schools! Check in on Sunday mornings to find out what we are collecting during the month.

  • Visitation Ministry

Several of our members are located throughout Simpsonville and the surrounding area, and are unable to be a regular presence at our church due to various circumstances. This ministry brings the church to them. Every month, our Women's Ministry bakes goods for church members and youth to deliver to these individuals so that we can spend time with them, and be a blessing to them.

  • VBS (Vacation Bible SCHOOL)

VBS is a specialized form of Christian education for children for one week during the Summer. During this week, children will be engaged in activities, crafts, lessons, and recreation centered around the Gospel of the Savior who loves them dearly. This year, VBS will be held from June 25th-29th.  See our EVENTS tab on details and how to sign up.
